Hometown outfit: Summer white

Hi Lovlies,
I have been in my hometown for 5 days due to Eid holiday and my cousins wedding right after it. It was quite hot but because I only have chance to visit once or twice a year, surely I couldnt stay at home but go around; see&eat what I have missed. Also, my new barrowed toy (camera nikon D200) was with me to company; I am trying to learn still :)

Breakfast in Istanbul

If you ever plan to visit Istanbul, pls keep in mind that breakfast is very important in Turkish culture! So you should definetly spare some time for having breakfasts in different places, like to have one definetly by Bosphorus, one by Yesilkoy and one in Besiktas. (I can share my favorite places if you contact me by email.) On weekends, we used to have long breakfasts with family or friends, and by 'long', I mean 2-3 hours at least:) and surely best breakfast will end with a Turkish coffee.

Here are some pictures from one of my favorite breakfast places; Figaro's. It's kind of Meditarrean-Eagean style, based on wide range of herbs that I even cannot say their names, but definetly very healthy and tasty! The only item that is not herb or vegetable is egg, so suitable for vegetarians as well. This restaurant is also on tripadvisor; you can check here. I love coming here four seasons but of course you have an alternative to sit outside in fresh air at springs and summer. In winter indoors is a must!

My favorite is the vegetables&herbs with yogurt and the omlete with herbs. The sweats are also delightful for final touch:) You can have as much tea as you want; it is included to breakfast fee.

I hope you can have this breakfast one day and enjoy as much as I do...

Note: Sorry for picture quality, my phone is so bad indoors :(

1st recipe post - Omelette w/ peppers&tomatos

Egg is quite a life saver when you have nothing to eat at home, came late from work. But still have enough energy for a post:) It has many different ways to cook so you don't get bored to eat an egg. It keeps you full for a long time and its useful for diets as well.
So, here comes the 1st recipe post of the blog!

Your needs are;
* 2 tomatos or 1 package of cutted tomato - ready to use
* 1 red pepper
* 1 green pepper
* 2 eggs
* Parsley
* A bit of olive oil
* Salt and pepper

First olive oil goes to pan, then finely sliced peppers. It will take 4-5 mins for peppers to go soft and fried on heat&oil. At this point, sliced tomatos go to pan, and after a few minutes very finely sliced parsley added. Parsley should be cooked until it gets totally soft, otherwise some find it very uncomfortable to eat. They will cook together until tomatos' juice dries mostly but do not forget that the bottom of pan should not go dry, a bit of juice should be kept to make the omelette better. 2 eggs should be added, salt & pepper goes on top for more taste. We mix them together until the protein part of egg cooks well, it should turn into white totally.
Serve with a small pcs of parsley on top, bon a petite!

A few of what I have eaten this week

It is very dangerous to have pleasure on eating:( thats the biggest bottleneck to be size 36. Sometimes I feel I can never get rid of my extra kilos and thats what gonna happen if I contunie eatig at that volume:)
I watched the movie "Devil Wears Prada" again today and now I have enough motivation to go on a diet. Again! God; I love that movie and I think I can watch it a hundred times more! God bless Merly Streep :)
About my diet, I will let you know my experience and success; if I have any during this period :) I have put and loose many kilos all my life so I am kind of diet expertise. And If I can; I will finally be able to put more outfit posts on my blog as I wanted. Never stop hoping!

Enjoy the weekend!

St.Petersburg Visit !

I have so many  things to write since I haven't been writing for a while. Still I have shared all my sets done at Polyvore; an amazing website and really addictive!

I have been in Russia for a few days last week. Thats my 2. visit to the same city and I think everyone should see St.Petersburg. It is such a great culture and the city has such architecture, I cant explain with words. My first visit was 7 years ago and was totally touristic but second visit was for business purpose so couldn't get enough of sightsee. Also, due to cold weather, I always had to wear a down coat; so yes; no outfit post from Russia:)

But I have a better subject; lets start with what I have eaten:)
Borsch soup with beef. The taste is great; it is a soup with beetroot and they say it is mainly Ukranian. You can find more information about it here. With the soup, I had hamburgers as I didnt know what to have the first day but the amount was so small; I understand why all Russian ladies have rocking bodies:) Even the french fries ordered as side was counted one-by-one.

On another day, I had a total Russian menu, the mushroom soup was gorgeous. As main course; I got a kind of black bulghur but I cant remember what its called in Russian. You can have it with chicken or pork; as side they give yoghurt which is more fatty than we have in usual. Also; they say the bulghur should be with more butter on it. The one I ate was with no butter at all becasue nowadays Russian ladies prefer not to have extra calories; so it was a bit dry but still a good taste. And the drink is their daily drink, that one I could only taste; not suitable for my meditarrean taste. you can have more information about it here; and definetly should be tried during visit.

And lastly; on our way back at the airport, we see TGI Fridays and after 3 days of cold I got all energy I needed for 300 days:) Browni Obsession,hmm yummy! The taste was amazing and really I am happy I don't have TGI Fridays close to my home. With icecream; caramel and chocolate souce on top; it is just amazing; just see the picture below; speaking for itself!

Another post for what I have seen will come shortly.

Kisses!
